Roosterfish on Costa Rica's Golfo Dulce

Annual White Water Tournament Recap

Annual White Water Marine Tournament Recap at The Zancudo Lodge, Costa Rica

sailfish white water shootout

The annual White Water Marine tournament was held after the New Year holiday and it was a blast with a lodge full of east coasters competing for the prize title. Offshore, there were triple digit yellowfin tuna with the biggest one caught at 180 lbs and many in the 80-110 lb range. Plus blue marlin, sailfish and huge inshore roosterfish were all caught and released. We really had a great time and look forward to seeing everyone back next year. Thanks John B. and Anthony V. for all your support and a huge thank you to Hawk for being the one who magically put us all together.

This week, the Lodge transitioned into “couples” week with our returning favorites and some new friends as well. This group is averaging 2-3 marlin and 7-12 sailfish per day.

With the changing of the moon, we are all waiting for the tuna to show up. So stay tuna-ed!

Still some space left for March and April so come join us and make some memories! Life is short so make it happen NOW!
