During these past 2 weeks, we’ve seen an uptick in our fishing action. The bite switched on, with most of our boats raising 10+ sailfish per day.

The Zancudo Lodge is a total hands-on fishing experience. Most places have the mate pitch the bait, hook the fish, and then hand you the rod. At our Lodge, it’s all up to the fishermen! It’s the guests’s job to pitch the bait and set the hook as we believe that fishing, like life, is all about that journey.

We are still catching dorado. This past week we have also landed 2 nice Wahoos. Such a treat on the sashimi platter and freshly grilled over homemade fettuccine. The tuna bite has been steady… no cows but many nice fish in the 60lb-80lb range. Inshore has also been very steady with plentiful roosters, snappers, blue Jacks and a few big amberjacks as well.
