During early 2005, Gregg and a friend planned a fishing trip to a remote location in Costa Rica called Zancudo. A week later, an exhilarated Gregg returned home to San Francisco with an offshore GRAND SLAM under his belt but more than that, he knew that this diamond in the rough property in Zancudo had a great potential to become THE jewel of fishing lodges. And hence our journey began and with a blink of an eye, we are extremely grateful and proud to be celebrating our 20 th anniversary of ownership.

The Zancudo Lodge has undergone a complete metamorphosis since 2005. The verdant property grounds, the gourmet cuisine , the intentional interior design, the hidden internal systems, the top notch boats and equipment. Basically anything that money can buy. But most importantly, what money can’t buy is the intrinsic soul of the Lodge that touches our visitors during their visit. The feeling of WELCOME and WARMTH when the guests arrive until the time that they depart. This philosophy has been nurtured throughout our past 20 years and it will be the guiding principle during our next 20 years!
