The Zancudo Lodge has high-speed Contender 32st to get you on the bite fast. Thanks to our Raymarine 12k radars the boats will get you on the tuna bite detecting birds 6 miles out. Check out their latest and greatest fish finders. Our captains are getting the sounders dialed in check out the side, 3D and chirp sounder all used together to get the best picture of where to find the tuna around close to the boat.
Wide open Tuna bite today plus a few sails. Over 18 fish landed by our crew. Nice Grade 60lb-180lb releasing most of them. The biggest tuna was 180lb on the scale.
The tuna bite is still fantastic Kipp Felice his dad and brother in law hooked a few 100lb+ers but mostly their fish were in the 60lb class. The Black Hawk from New York and his son fought a big tuna for over 2 hours on an Okuma Makaria 10 landing the fish it weighted 120lb. The sailfish bite is also steady her in the southern zone of Costa Rica.

“Year of the Tuna” here at The Zancudo Lodge. Thanks to our Raymarine 12k radar we were able to mark the birds 5 miles out. A small price to pay to find the fish it was a Wide open bite. Lots of nice grade 80lbers. Only kept 5 but caught over 15 fish. The same with one of our other boats.
The bill fishing is starting to pick up we are raising Marlin almost every day we have landed 2 these past few days. Sailfish is picking up big time with the boats averaging 5 a day. Tuna are around as well.
WOW some big tuna are coming over the rails these past few days. One being a COW Its “Year of the Tuna” again The Zancudo Lodge. Yesturday one of the Contender Boats Inc. using their Raymarine Super HD Radar we were able to pick up birds 4 miles out. Wide Open Tuna bite One fish was 205lb Zach caught a 186lb and there were many 80-90lb.
From yesterday Inshore produced some very big Cuberias and Roosters. All Cuberia snappers were released. Stay tuned for todays report BIG TUNA.
